Sharing is caring!

Hi! Welcome to my blog!  In this space I will share, share and share some more! I will share thoughts, ideas and plans for future makes, all the things I want to accomplish for my shop in the near and not so near future.  I hope to make this a space to inspire and spread joy and laughter.  Having you here, along for the ride, just makes this magical ride sweeter.

Today I wanted to share my thoughts regarding what I do and what keeps me going every day.  I will say that getting and staying motivated is not an easy feat.  These days, distractions are a dime a dozen and it is sometimes difficult to focus on goals! I have my moments, my days and sometimes even weeks where I drag my feet procrastinating and where my brain feels like it is “closed for business”. But the great thing about slumps is the challenge to climb out of them and when you catch that first glimpse of the sun, pure energy pumps through and you are ready to go. Thinking of the things I have created and the things I want to create in the future get me going, get me to sit in my sewing chair and get the pipeline moving.  I never thought I would enjoy “fabricating” as much as I do.  The process from beginning to end is full of funny surprises, the occasional mishap, painful fingertips from piercing needles and the occasional disappointments that turn out to be the sweetest creative blessings.  Not knowing the full outcome until the last stitch is stitched is very addictive and rewarding.

What is next for me?  What can you expect to see from Over the Moon Handmade? I am working on some yoga dolls right now and have a few more themed dolls in mind.  Mermaids may be swimming up to my studio soon and hopping onto my worktable.  One thing is for sure, you can expect each and every creation to have a whole lot of love and magic rooted into every stitch.

Is there anything you are currently working on? A new poem, studying for a big exam, or sewing some new seeds in your garden? Let me know in the comments section below and we can keep the chat going. Feel free to elaborate on anything else you would like to share!
